Coffee and Breakfast Courtesy of my Kids – I Live for the Moments Like This
As a mom, there are times I feel I have completely failed, and other times I think I’m killin’ it. Saturday was a killin’ it moment. I got coffee and breakfast courtesy of my kids – I live for moments like this.
Saturday morning Jace came in with my coffee cup and woke me up with a sweet quiet voice. Only a couple minutes later Kailanie came in and to make sure I was getting up. I made my way to the kitchen with Kailanie leading the way and was handed breakfast by an excited Jace.
Jace told me he and Kailanie made Dad and I both breakfast and coffee. They wanted to do something nice for us. My heart instantly melted. Since this was such a sweet gesture and my heart was exploding with love, I overlooked the mess they had made…and that my cup was only half full of black coffee.
The look of pride and love I saw on their faces made every moment, good and bad, more worth it. As often as I feel I have screwed up, I’m met with moments reassuring me I must be doing something right. I live for the moments like this.
