As Christmas quickly approaches, I want to take time out to publicly thank some kind-hearted folks who are spreading joy during the Holidays. Their generosity has made Christmas possible for our family.

Our main contributor was the Children’s Cancer Association (CCA), they did most of our Christmas shopping for us. Not only did they do the shopping and paying, but they wrapped and delivered presents for the entire family. We cannot thank you all enough!

Franz Bakery was also a huge supporter. We received bread FREE for an entire year, and help with Christmas. A huge thank you for supporting others in your community!

Doernbecher Children’s Hospital (where Kailanie goes for treatment) recommended us to a family on a mission to decorate one house a year for a family battling cancer. They Christmased our house beautifully. We are sending a huge thank you to Carol and her family and friends.

We have also had smiles brought to our kids through a program called Magical Mail (for more information check them out). This program and everyone involved are amazing. They don’t just bring smiles to kids in many countries during the holidays, they do it all year round.

As a prideful person, it is extremely hard for me to accept help. We didn’t ask the CCA to help with Christmas; the opportunity was offered to us. Until the “special guest” showed up at our home yesterday from Franz Bakery, we had no idea what was in store. We have so much gratitude for those who have brought light to our world. We hope to one day be in a position to give back, even just a fraction of what we received

I am not sure where these generous people were before Kailanie’s diagnosis of leukemia, but I am forever grateful for them now. None of this experience has been easy, so, it’s nice to have a little sunshine through all the rain.
