In society today, it’s seems normal to judge and form opinions of situations and other people. Opinions coming from others will not always be positive, and that is okay. Recently, I stumbled across some wise words from Elisabeth Kubler-Ross for Wednesday’s Words of Wisdom, a quote regarding the opinions of others.

It’s easy to feel bad about someone else’s negative opinion, especially when it is regarding you. It’s also normal to care a great deal about what others think of you. For the most part, it shows you care about others and how they feel.

Elisabeth Kubler-Ross had it right when she said: “the opinion which other people have of you is their problem, not yours.”

Wednesday's Words of Wisdom, Wise words:

The point? Stop caring and worrying so much about what other people might think. They haven’t lived your life. Chances are they don’t know everything you have been through, even if they think they do.

Stop giving people the power to make you feel like less of a person. Don’t let anyone dim your shine. Keep in mind, people can only perceive things from the level they are on based on their life experience.

You are not responsible for anyone else’s thoughts or actions. If done in bad taste, in the end, their opinion of you will only reflect poorly on them.

I hope this quote regarding the opinions of others, used for today’s words of wisdom, has empowered you. Feel free to share the wise words in this post with your friends.
